Why
Several brands have been found to contain fabricated entries this cycle — made-up model numbers ("ghost" cameras that 404 on the manufacturer's own site), invented RTSP/ONVIF support and Frigate configs, and systemically wrong specs (lens, FOV, power, storage) that look plausible but don't match official datasheets. This issue tracks extending that audit to the rest of the dataset (~68 brands, ~1,558 cameras).
Method (established this cycle)
For each brand:
- Re-verify every camera against the manufacturer's official product pages / datasheets (not retailer/aggregator listings, except to corroborate).
- No fabrication — if a value isn't confirmed by an official source, leave the field empty rather than guess.
- Remove confirmed ghost models (no matching official product exists).
- Remove confirmed duplicate listings (spec-identical regional variants of a model already in the dataset).
- Correct RTSP/ONVIF claims — many battery/solar cameras across brands have been found to falsely claim local streaming support; verify per the manufacturer's own RTSP/ONVIF policy.
- Note sources in each camera's
sources[] field.

Notes
Suggested order: largest brands first (most user-facing impact), or prioritize brands more likely to have fabricated entries (anything added in a single bulk pass without per-camera sourcing).
