No Direction for Collections

Collections can be saved, apparently, but there is no direction for opening a collection: the filters have to be set every time.

Which type of collections?

Filter based collection can be made following this: https://github.com/character-map-uwp/Character-Map-UWP/wiki/Smart-Collections

Normal collections are made by right clicking a font family and adding them to a collection (or within Settings -> Collections)
