Error when trying to Create a new record

Whenever I try to create a new record, I get a "Element does not exist" error toast (a xhr post call returns {data: null}.
Did I miss something?

Sounds like it's trying to do an update instead of a create, are you sure you have put the createHandler (or the defaultHandler) in your API endpoint?
