Sorry, I had to make an issue for this since I quickly merged it to main before All Hands and didn't make a PR :P
This issue primarily concerns commits d524a1a and edffa17. The first commit converts the email extraction logic from client-side to server-side. This allows for email extraction to persist when users lose internet, or close the waitlist tab. The second commit fixes refresh logic so that users can properly see the state of their long-running job in all situations.
This hopefully meant we could collect many more emails during All Hands and onward!
