possible to also push version info / tags?

Not a bug but a feature request.

I'd like to push the compiled file from one repo A to another repo B with customized info like tag or versioning.
So that when repo B get the push, another action in B will make it into a release with "tagged version/title".

I know there is a commit-message, but that one is just a message and cannot be extracted. I can push a tag to the new repo?
