- Project: Animal Hierarchy with Covariance and Contravariance
Project Description:- In this mini-project, you'll build an animal hierarchy system to deepen your understanding of inheritance, polymorphism, covariance, and contravariance in C#.
- You'll start by creating a base
Animalclass with common properties like Name and Age, along with methods such asEat(),Sleep(), andMakeSound(). - Then, you'll create derived classes like
Mammal,Bird, andFish, each with additional properties and behaviors. - Specific animals like
Dog,Eagle, andSharkwill further extend these classes, overriding methods to provide specialized behavior. - You’ll also implement generic interfaces to demonstrate covariance and contravariance, allowing different animal types to be managed in a flexible and type-safe way.
- Toward the end of your step, and before your online presentation, attend a technical session with one of your track’s technical mentors and receive their feedback.
- At least 7 days before your deadline, start coordinating and scheduling your live presentation session as the final task of this step.
for more details about the live presentation, please check "Guidelines for Delivering an Online Presentation". - Hold your live presentation on LinkedIn.
In the mentoring training path, you should watch the "third" and "fourth" videos out of the 12 videos for the "Coaching" course. Here are the links:
