jira VULN-63584 cve CVE-2021-47383 commit-author Igor Matheus Andrade Torrente <igormtorrente@gmail.com> commit 3b0c406 This issue happens when a userspace program does an ioctl FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO passing the fb_var_screeninfo struct containing only the fields xres, yres, and bits_per_pixel with values. If this struct is the same as the previous ioctl, the vc_resize() detects it and doesn't call the resize_screen(), leaving the fb_var_screeninfo incomplete. And this leads to the updatescrollmode() calculates a wrong value to fbcon_display->vrows, which makes the real_y() return a wrong value of y, and that value, eventually, causes the imageblit to access an out-of-bound address value. To solve this issue I made the resize_screen() be called even if the screen does not need any resizing, so it will "fix and fill" the fb_var_screeninfo independently. …w in hns_dsaf_ge_srst_by_port() jira VULN-4395 cve CVE-2021-47548 commit-author Teng Qi <starmiku1207184332@gmail.com> commit a66998e The if statement: if (port >= DSAF_GE_NUM) return; limits the value of port less than DSAF_GE_NUM (i.e., 8). However, if the value of port is 6 or 7, an array overflow could occur: port_rst_off = dsaf_dev->mac_cb[port]->port_rst_off; because the length of dsaf_dev->mac_cb is DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM (i.e., 6). To fix this possible array overflow, we first check port and if it is greater than or equal to DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM, the function returns. jira VULN-241 cve CVE-2022-48627 commit-author Yangxi Xiang <xyangxi5@gmail.com> commit 39cdb68 A memory overlapping copy occurs when deleting a long line. This memory overlapping copy can cause data corruption when scr_memcpyw is optimized to memcpy because memcpy does not ensure its behavior if the destination buffer overlaps with the source buffer. The line buffer is not always broken, because the memcpy utilizes the hardware acceleration, whose result is not deterministic. Fix this problem by using replacing the scr_memcpyw with scr_memmovew. This is weird. |
Another thing is that this PR and automation shouldn't be created if there is any issue or even a false positive found by These CVE automation should mostly be the CVEs which pass all our initial checks. Yes it is still possible that it will fail the build or kABI but that's a different thing. |

@shreeya-patel98 This is solved here but it was not merged yet But these failure happens only here because of the shallow clone. In the GHA it does not because there I do a full clone. So, sometimes we may run into issues like this |
|
I ran these locally and no issues were found. |
