Notepad next closes on 2nd file selection

I launched Notepad Next to notice all previous open files tabs had closed (perhaps a feature)
From the 'Folder as workplace' panel, I double click on a file and it opens in a tab as expected. I immediately double click the next file down and Notepad Next closes. I repeated the process a number of times with the same result.

The above does not occur if I double click on the first file, then then click to focus on the opened page, then double click the next file in the list. Once two tabs are open the above fault does not occur and I can open file after file without having to focus on the open content.

I've also noticed similar issue when opening first file and hitting F2 to toggle through bookmarked lines or at least to see if they had been preserved, Notepad Next simply closes. Hope this helps

I've seen similar situations like this at times but I've not been able to reproduce this so I'm very interested in finding the root cause.

I tried on my Windows PC and did not have any luck recreating it.

If you could replicate the crash and provide the output log that would be helpful. I'm not sure if running it from the terminal sends it to the stdout or what.

Happy to oblige, where are the logs located?

Normally these are under "Help > Debug Log"

However if your application crashes you wont be able to get the full log. If you run it from the command line does it log to the console?

If it doesnt output to the console by default you might try setting environment variable QT_LOGGING_TO_CONSOLE=1 before running the applicaiton.
