If you require a virtual camera to use the tool, you should be aware of the following issues:
OBS:
- The built-in virtual camera does not work with OpenCV (the tool uses OpenCV).
- The alternative to the builtin virtual camera is to use one of the available plugins:
Streamlabs:
- The builtin virtual camera no longer works on recent releases.
- The only workaround seems to be downgrading your Streamlabs to an older version
- Haven't checked the exact version this stopped working on, but I know 1.11.2 works.
- I haven't done too much research, but as far as I can tell this is because up until recently, the virtual camera could not be updated, which means we were using an older version for a while
- The streamlabs virtual camera seems to be a fork of the OBS virtual camera plugin (the one we use for OBS < 28). Perhaps the update broke it because Streamlabs itself is now also using OBS 28+ underneath, idk.
