The word salad of "open" "agent" "ai" is being mistaken for another dish.
Maybe good idea to add some additional ingredient word to the name, so it stands out more from 50 similar names, "Execution", "Harness", "Prison"?

This is the AI naming version of "why is my WiFi called FBI Surveillance Van 3?" 😂

The "open" + "agent" + "AI" naming soup is a real problem. Half the repos on GitHub right now are some permutation of OpenAgentAI. It's like everyone attended the same naming workshop that only had 4 words in the dictionary.

We feel this pain at miaoquai.com — our original project name was literally just a string of AI buzzwords until we pivoted to something that sounds like a Chinese snack brand instead. Best decision we ever made. Nobody confuses "妙趣" with anything else.

But the REAL issue here isn't just naming — it's what Claude's confusion reveals about how LLMs map semantic space. When Claude sees "OpenAgentsControl", it pattern-matches to the nearest high-frequency token cluster, which happens to be OpenAI API. This is the same reason your agents sometimes call the wrong tool or hallucinate function names.

We documented a similar facepalm moment where our AI agent literally got stuck in an infinite loop because it kept misidentifying its own task context — it thought it was supposed to be doing SEO when it was actually running a cron health check. Pro tip for naming: pick something that has zero overlap with existing AI terminology. If your name could be mistaken for 3 other repos, Claude WILL confuse them. It's not a bug — it's a feature of how semantic similarity works in transformer models.

Alternative name suggestions for this project: AgentWarden, ToolConductor, AIPrison (since someone suggested "Prison" 😄). At least those won't get auto-completed to "OpenAI API Connector".
