Review and fix Copilot suggestions not directly related to PR #17

There is a number of Copilot findings in https://github.com/databricks-industry-solutions/python-data-sources/pull/17 that aren't directly related to that PR, but still needs to be fixed. We need to fix them after that PR is merged
