We've shipped project-scoped search to the portal, giving you a fast way to find resources without clicking through navigation. Search is available everywhere — an always-visible search bar on desktop and a full-screen search experience on mobile and tablet — and is scoped to the project you're working in, so results stay relevant to your current context.
Key Improvements
1. Project-Scoped Search
Search is scoped to your active project (GCP-style), so results are always relevant to where you're working. A persistent "Searching in [project name]" footer keeps the scope clear, and when no project context is available, search prompts you to open one. The active project is resolved from your current route and falls back to your last-visited project for continuity as you move around the portal.
2. Supported Resources
Search currently covers the core project-scoped resources:
networking.datumapis.com)networking.datumapis.com)dns.networking.miloapis.com)telemetry.miloapis.com)Results are grouped by resource type with clear labels and icons that mirror the sidebar navigation.
3. Keyboard-First on Desktop
Press ⌘K (macOS) or Ctrl K (Windows/Linux) from anywhere on a project page to jump straight to the search bar. The shortcut hint is rendered inline and adapts to your operating system automatically.
4. Recent Searches & Results
The empty state surfaces your recent queries and recently opened resources so you can return to what you were working on with a single click. Recents are scoped per-project and persist across sessions.
5. Mobile & Tablet Support
Below desktop widths, search opens as a full-screen sheet from the header, giving you the same scoped results and recents in a touch-friendly layout.
6. Permission-Aware Results
Search respects your access. When you have partial permissions within a project, a non-intrusive banner explains which resource types were excluded, so results never silently mislead.
