Hello just sharing my vitabright_lut which tries to replicate the original colors of the Vita
Although the vitabright can increse the "brightness" through the gamma table i think this plugin is awesome to try color calibrating your vita display's to your liking, this one works very well for me.

Hi, It worked great! Smooth, consistent and balanced curve though not offering a very wide brightness range for late night use, for example.
However I noticed that the .txt file you sent need an empty line-18 in order to function properly (I was wondering why the Vita LUT editor keeps crashing)

Sorry about that and thanks for trying and for report the issue with the table file. Here is the file edited to include the 18 empt line for future users. If anybody read this in the future please try this one to avoid crashes

@devnoname120 Brightness level 9-15 (darker levels) for my panel has an extreme red tint.
But again mine is the batch of panels in the olden days that needed a special Vitabright fork to work (until the 2.0 update.)

This is one I personally modified based on another LUT profile for my panel specifically.
It has been working perfectly for mine ever since, with a dedicated brightness 15 Low brightness level (the lowest I could get to without visible green tints.)

Sorry for getting back so late. Took some time to get myself re-familiarized and caught up with the Vita modding scene as I have not extensively used the console. The LUT works better than my 2022 LUT for the most part, for most of the brightness setting range when displaying gray the color is a lot more neutral compared to my LUT. But for brightness level 14-15 for my panel specifically, the green tint still gets really quite noticeable (not nearly as bad as system default though). I am trying to counter this with LUT but honestly it might just be a feature of the early batch OLED panels (it was bought on Vita launch), and there's only so much a LUT could do. It reminds me of my old OnePlus 8 Pro phone, which also has a severe green tint problem at the lowest brightness levels as well.

You mean the mura effect? Bits off green when the screen gets dimmed? That is just a product of how the screen glue was handled. At least that was the info i could find. Mine has that too and your lut did fix it for the most part

Thanks, glad to hear it! Though I think for anything past the lowest 3 levels the LUT linked above [vitabright_lut_V6-RC2] is the superior one and noticeably more neutral than what I whipped up in an afternoon years ago. The lowest brightness though still takes some tweaking and I'm still experimenting with it when I have time.

The main problem with my panel is if I try to compensate for the green tint too much to make the display balanced, it makes the overall screen color reproduction quite dull. Though I'd take that over a green gooey mess any day; and using it in pitch black darkness on my bed is probably not a scenario where the widest color gamut is that prioritized. I think I've landed on a decent setting but I'll tweak it for a few more days before uploading.

One funny thing is since the green tint gets worse as the screen gets darker, with the V6-RC2 LUT the reserved Brightness 16 setting during timeout dimming look kinda funny, like looking through an algae-filled fish tank xD

As I was revisiting Vita modding scene I installed VitaDB and it marked my version of Lut Editor as having an "update". After installing v1.1, it would just error [saved core file succeeded] and crash upon launch. I thought it was a file corruption error and grabbed the file from this repo and the result is the same. I tried everything and was close to reinstalling the whole system when a separate search yielded an updated editor from https://github.com/skgleba/vitabright/releases/tag/v1.2c and that Editor version which fixed the problem for me. I might have ran into this 3 years ago and installed the other version but being so long ago I just don't remember. Is it possible to fix the editor bug or at least update the repo description so others won't run into a brick-wall like I did?

p.s. One downside of the above version that I soon found out is that upon first launch it ships with a 'default LUT profile'. In practice, it swiftly overwrote the LUT table I was working on. （￣︶￣）↗
