Export schedule in an XLS format

There is a request by some sponsors to export the schedule to XLS format

IMHO iCalendar format would be useful too. With an option to export all or only my favorite talks.

The problem with these kind of exports is when we do last minute changes or talk/room swaps that your export is out-of-date!

I agree that a one-off export is not ideal. I would personally prefer to use an iCalendar feed (see #67). But if the export feature gets implemented before the feed, then having the option to choose the iCal format would be better than nothing.
