Just wanted to call out that

• we are using setup-gradle v4 which automatically performs wrapper validation
  • https://github.com/gradle/actions/blob/main/docs/setup-gradle.md#gradle-wrapper-validation

  • spotless/.github/workflows/ci.yml

    Lines 31 to 32 in c1718fa

    	- name: gradle caching
    	uses: gradle/actions/setup-gradle@v4

• and that is why we no longer need the explicit wrapper check which was remove in this PR
