Code of Conduct

VectorRen is a small, joyful, intentional project.
Everyone who participates — maintainers, contributors, and community members — is expected to help keep it that way.

This Code of Conduct describes the standards we uphold and the behavior we expect from everyone involved.

1. The Spirit of the Project

VectorRen is built on clarity, kindness, curiosity, and craft.
We keep things small, sharp, and joyful — and we treat each other the same way.

Contributions should make the project better.
Interactions should make the community better.

2. Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • Be respectful and considerate
  • Communicate clearly and kindly
  • Assume good intent
  • Welcome beginners and experts alike
  • Keep discussions focused on ideas, not people
  • Offer constructive feedback
  • Follow the project’s philosophy and contribution guidelines

VectorRen is a place for learning, exploration, and fun.
Help keep it that way.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not allowed:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Demeaning or insulting comments
  • Disruptive or aggressive behavior
  • Sharing private information without consent
  • Introducing harmful, malicious, or deceptive code
  • Ignoring or undermining the project’s philosophy

If your behavior makes the community feel unsafe, unwelcome, or discouraged, it is not acceptable here.

4. Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

  • Open a confidential report by emailing the maintainer
  • Include as much detail as you can
  • Reports will be handled respectfully and privately

If you are unsure whether something should be reported, report it anyway.
We would rather hear from you than miss something important.

5. Enforcement

The maintainer may take any action deemed appropriate, including:

  • A private warning
  • Reverting or rejecting contributions
  • Temporary or permanent bans from participation
  • Closing discussions or issues
  • Removing access to the repository

Enforcement decisions are made to protect the health of the project and its community.

6. Attribution

This Code of Conduct is inspired by the Contributor Covenant, but rewritten to match the tone and philosophy of VectorRen.

Final Note

VectorRen is a celebration of clarity, creativity, and joy.
Treat others the way you want the project to feel: welcoming, thoughtful, and fun.

Thank you for being part of it.
