Bug: Sync & Backup buttons not responding

on Android 10 device without fingerprint reader
Device: Lenovo TB-X605F
OS: Android 10
DDG version: 5.275.1
Problem:
On this tablet, none of the Sync & Backup buttons respond when tapped. No screen opens, nothing happens. The on/off toggle for sync which is visible on other devices is also missing completely.
The tablet has no fingerprint reader, but Android only offers lock screen options with fingerprint (Fingerprint + PIN, Fingerprint + Pattern, Fingerprint + Password). DDG appears to require fingerprint authentication to activate sync, making it completely unusable on devices without a fingerprint reader.
On another device (Android phone, same DDG version): Sync works correctly, toggle is visible, buttons respond normally.
Expected behavior: Sync & Backup should work on devices without a fingerprint reader using PIN or pattern alone.

@AutoPulsesvk, thanks for the report. I just want to clarify a few things to help me narrow down the problem:

On this tablet, none of the Sync & Backup buttons respond when tapped. No screen opens, nothing happens.

The screen you've provided the screenshot of, you don't see this opening at all from the Sync screen's buttons? How did you access that screen to see the three options, outside of our app manually through system settings?

What happens if you access Overflow Menu -> Passwords in our app? Do you see a screen like this one, and if so what happens when you tap Set up in Settings?

And finally, can you confirm if you do already have a device-auth set, like PIN/password/Pattern? What happens if you just manually set up a PIN code from system settings? Does the Sync / Passwords work after that?

DDG appears to require fingerprint authentication to activate sync, making it completely unusable on devices without a fingerprint reader.

There is a requirement that a device-auth method be set for some functionality, like Sync and Passwords. But it should work fine without the fingerprint as long as you have one of the PIN/Password/Pattern authentication types set. We have seen some devices misreport their capabilities which can confuse things when we attempt to query the current status but it shouldn't really prevent the functionality if the device-auth is actually set.

Hi. Thanks. As you can see, Duck give me only Fingerprint+xxx in all options, but there aren no fingerprint Hardware on this Device.
