Hi @ahdinko
I was using the pico-sdk and the corresponding toolchain downloaded by VScode plugin. I don't think the compilation of the firmware need to, and should involve VS2026 toolchain.

Can you please provide what reference document are you following to build the firmware?

Turns out it was a pico-sdk version mismatch, binaries must be at 2.1.1 currently otherwise cmake will try to compile 2.1.1 which requires VS code to have the build tools
