Help organize and understand what is happening when there are too many mods

The name would be custom, there would be no limit to the amount of mods in one group, and limitless mods by a limitless amount of creators can be put in the group

Groups are fine at a high level, but they are pretty terrible in terms of having a nice UI. It has been requested before and shutdown because it's not very nice to do.

The mockup shows mods in a group, but it doesn't show how to create a group, add mods to a group, remove mods from a group, and how to delete a group. All of those are pretty essential. I'd imagine dragging mods in/out of the group handles adding/removing, but the actual creation of the group is still a concern. There are other concerns such as load ordering too which could always be relatively important.

The real challenge is how to present groups in a way that doesn't ruin the experience for people who don't want to use them. Bloat is real and this could end up being fairly rough in terms of adding extra actions for people.

What if when right clicking a mod an option shows up to add it to a group, and then if no groups were created before it asks for a name, and then after inputting a name and clicking create, the group is now created and shows up at the top of the list, and now when right clicking a mod and choosing to add it to a group then it shows the available groups? Each group could have a setting to choose between "custom sorting" and "default", which just sorts the mods inside the group based on the settings at the top of the screen, but if custom sorting is enabled the mods will remain where the user left them and be unaffected by the sorting settings, the user could drag and drop the mods inside and sort them that way with custom sorting.
To delete a group the user will right click the name ro click on the pencil on the side and click delete group, and all mods inside the group will return to the normal list and sorting system.
and the user can re-order groups by dragging one above or below the other, if they have more than one.
