Program output not visible in integrated terminal

Using version 2.0.3 and VSCodium 1.100.03093

• Can launch a debug session for program
• Can see program and debugger (GDB) output in the debugger console
• Can stop at breakpoints, etc.
• Dedicated program output terminal session is not created

Is there a configuration option to enable this or is it not supported?
If no, is there a plan to support it?

No, not yet.

There is this old feature request for this functionality in eclipse-cdt-cloud/cdt-gdb-adapter#161 and I did a draft fix for it in eclipse-cdt-cloud/cdt-gdb-adapter#252 - but it never made it high enough in a priority list to get completed and merged.

Abandoned (neglected)

My focus has been primarily on remote debugging where that feature hasn't been needed. But if anyone picks it up I will happily guide/review.
