Can you give information about the used OS, the Eclipse version and specific DPI-/autoscaling-related settings? The small icons in tab folders look as if you did some custom configuration of autoscaling settings, which might break the terminal rendering.

What exactly does this mean? Do you have a fractional scaling of 150% applied in your operating system? Have you configured anything related to swt.autoScale in the ini of the application?

xubuntu 24.04, xfce4 desktop font's DPI = 144， scaling no set ( just 1x mean 100%)
eclipse.init is default.

now I reset xubuntu xfce4 desktop font's to default, keep xfce4 desktop window scaling 1x.

not set any swt.autoScale, It's need to set?

I wasn't aware of the option to just change the font DPI. I have to admit that I have no idea how well Eclipse works with changing that to anything but the default 96.

We have fixed a very similar issue for the upcoming Eclipse 2026-06 release:

• Correct font size calculation for Terminal in multi-monitor setups eclipse.platform#2472

I would expect that one to only affect Windows system. Still, have you reproduced the issue with a recent I-Build? https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/

Okay, so it happens with default DPI and no specific scaling setting. Then it is not a DPI-related issue.
Since you say it happens with specific language settings, it might be related to the GC's text extent calculations not being correct for that specific language / font. But I am not an expert on the Linux SWT implementation, so I cannot help (efficiently) here.
