Feature requests, improvements and bug tickets for S-CORE Release v0.9

Epic Description

Purpose

This Epic collects all feature requests, improvements, and bug tickets that are planned for or discovered during S-CORE Release v0.9 and that currently do not have a parent issue.

It serves as a temporary umbrella issue for work across the S-CORE Bazel C/C++ toolchain configuration repository, including toolchain definitions, package metadata, repository generation, templates, examples, validation, documentation, and platform-specific integrations such as QNX.

Goal

Provide a single place to:

• capture incoming work items for Release v0.9,
• avoid untracked standalone tickets,
• group smaller cross-cutting tasks before they are assigned to a more specific Epic,
• maintain visibility of release scope, risks, and open defects.

Scope

This Epic may include:

• new feature requests,
• improvements to existing functionality,
• bug reports and regressions,
• validation and test gaps,
• documentation updates,
• platform or toolchain integration issues.

Examples of relevant areas:

• Bazel module extension behavior,
• Linux and QNX toolchain configuration,
• package version mapping,
• generated repository content,
• example workspace and smoke tests,
• usability, maintainability, and release-readiness improvements.

How to use this Epic

Please link any Release v0.9 issue here if:

• it belongs to this release,
• it does not already have a more specific parent Epic,
• it represents work that should be tracked at release level.

If a dedicated parent Epic is later created, the child issue should be moved there.

Exit criteria

This Epic can be closed when:

• all linked child issues are completed, deferred, or moved to another Epic,
