I'm installing CommitMono using the NixOS package, and while I'm aware that you do not write the package for it, it does not seem to be the packagers fault, and is rather a problem with the TTF meta data. The package downloads the files from GitHub Releases and then copies them into the correct locations.
For some reason, the italics font shows up as a separate font on my computer (named CommitMonoV143). Notice that the normal style fonts are named CommitMono and the italic ones are labeled as CommitMonoV143.
Thanks so much for making this font!
