Summary
PR #272230 adds a new Advanced Settings toggle, "Show managed workflows" (default off), that controls whether the Managed filter appears on the Workflows list page. When enabled, users with the required workflow privileges can filter the list to show Elastic-managed (built-in) workflows and their executions alongside their own. The setting is allowlisted in serverless projects where the Workflows UI setting is available and reacts live to Advanced Settings changes without a page reload.
Why this needs docs: New user-facing Advanced Settings toggle with i18n text and a new list filter that changes what appears in the Workflows UI, but the docs currently don't mention managed workflows as a concept at all.

Set up Workflows > Enable workflows / Manage access to workflows
- What the docs say: The page covers turning on the workflows:ui:enabled setting and the Analytics > Workflows privilege table (All/Read/sub-feature), but has no mention of managed workflows or the setting that controls their visibility.
- What to add: Add a short explanation of managed workflows (Elastic-maintained workflows that power certain built-in functionality, which should not normally be edited/disabled) and document the new 'Show managed workflows' Advanced Settings toggle that must be turned on before the Managed filter appears on the Workflows list page. Note the toggle defaults to off. Applies from 9.5.0 and in serverless.
Workflow concepts > (top-level overview)
- What the docs say: The concepts page enumerates triggers, steps, templating, and reference material but never introduces the idea of Elastic-managed/built-in workflows as a distinct category.
- What to add: Consider a brief mention (a sentence or short list item) that some workflows are managed by Elastic and ship as part of product functionality, cross-linking to the setup page's privilege/setting details, so readers encountering a 'Managed' badge in the list understand what it means. Applies from 9.5.0 and in serverless.
