There were a bunch of nice fixes recently, most notably #2160 which also fixed some crashes that have been around for a while (#2200) as well as some that aren't merged yet that I'd like to release before some more major changes (like #2204, #2195, #2096, and more gesture changes).
In theory there are new features (#2125 and #2164) so i'm not sure whether this should already be a 8.1.0?
