Frontend Integration for Dynamic Middleware Management Dashboard

This issue tracks the frontend implementation for the middleware management system. The dashboard will provide a user interface to interact with the middleware management APIs implemented in proTES, allowing administrators to view, add, remove, and reorder middlewares through a web interface. The frontend communicates exclusively with proTES backend APIs and does not implement any separate task submission mechanism.

Implementation Plan
1. Middleware List View
Implemented table based view displaying all configured middlewares with columns for order, ID, name, class path, and source type. View refreshes automatically after any modification operation. Displays empty state message when no middlewares are configured. Includes loading spinner during data fetch operations. Source badges visually distinguish between local and GitHub-sourced middlewares. Order column shows current position in middleware stack.

2. Add Middleware Form
Created form interface for adding new middlewares with fields for name, class path, order, and optional GitHub URL. Form validates that either class_path or github_url is provided but not both. Order field is optional and defaults to appending middleware at end of stack if not specified. Form disables class_path field when GitHub URL is provided. Submit button shows loading state during API call. Form resets and closes after successful submission. Error messages display API validation failures.

3. Delete Middleware Confirmation
Implemented confirmation dialog before middleware deletion to prevent accidental removal. Dialog displays middleware name being deleted. Provides cancel and confirm buttons with confirm button styled as danger action. Dialog blocks interaction with rest of interface until user responds. On confirmation, makes DELETE API call and refreshes middleware list. Shows success or error message based on API response.

4. Reorder Functionality
Created reorder mode that transforms table into interactive ordering interface. Mode activated by reorder button in header. In reorder mode, displays up and down arrow buttons in order column. Up button disabled for first middleware, down button disabled for last middleware. Each button click swaps middleware with adjacent one in stack. Save order button commits changes to backend via PUT API call. Cancel button reverts to normal view without saving changes. Table updates immediately after successful save.

5. View Middleware Details
Implemented modal dialog displaying comprehensive middleware information including ID, name, class path, order, source type, GitHub URL if applicable, and any metadata. Modal fetches detailed information from GET API endpoint on open. Displays loading state while fetching details. Shows source code if available from GitHub-sourced middleware. Includes close button and click-outside-to-close behavior. Modal scrolls for long content while header remains fixed.

6. API Integration
Configured axios instance with base URL pointing to proTES backend at localhost:8080. All CRUD operations call corresponding proTES API endpoints. GET /api/middlewares for listing middlewares. POST /api/middlewares for adding new middleware. DELETE /api/middlewares/:id for removing middleware. PUT /api/middlewares/order for reordering stack. Error handling displays user-friendly messages from API responses. Loading states prevent duplicate submissions during API calls.

7. Success and Error Messaging
Implemented dismissible message banners at top of interface. Success messages display in green with checkmark icon for operations like add, delete, and reorder. Error messages display in red with alert icon showing API error details. Messages auto-dismiss after 5 seconds or can be manually closed. Multiple messages stack vertically. Messages animate in and out smoothly.

8. Middleware Testing Interface
Current implementation includes MiddlewareTester component that submits tasks directly to TES API with configurable priority levels and custom parameters. This component contradicts requirement for unified task submission through proTES normal flow. Component will be removed as all tasks should flow through standard TES API endpoints and be processed by whatever middleware stack is currently configured in proTES. Testing of middleware behavior should be done by submitting tasks through normal workflow interface and observing results rather than separate testing mechanism.

9. State Management
Component manages local state for middleware list, loading status, error messages, success messages, form visibility, reorder mode, detail modal, and delete confirmation. State updates trigger appropriate re-renders. Form state resets after successful operations. Loading states prevent race conditions during concurrent operations.
