The Parable Pass is a narrow crossing carved between cliffs of layered stone, where each stratum is said to hold a moral, a meaning, or a warning pressed flat by the weight of centuries. Travellers report hearing voices on the wind — little fables half-remembered, the punchlines worn smooth — and many return changed in some small but stubborn way. Surveyors of Void events note the Pass again and again: it is a place where lessons are still trying to be learned, even as the listeners forget.
