This is a small optional addition to the clear signing data format that might be useful for fields whose true meaning may not be as clear to the users as we may need to ensure they understand the interaction being signed.
Devices that are not capable of handling such a long text format can skip this data, however it seems like lately the hardware is evolving towards more screen real estate so hopefully this should not be a problem in the long run.
