[Bug]: Icon appears also with 0 updates

Problem summary

I'm not sure if it's due to Plasma 6.6 or the new version 2.9.8, but the bug where the icon appears in the traybar even with zero updates has returned. I tried putting in two updates, and it disappears for the moment, but reappears when I restart.
