Using DAQ with an OpenFlow switch

In these tutorials you will connect a physical network switch supporting the OpenFlow protocol to DAQ and run some tests. This configuration is also referred to as Test Lab Setup

You will also put DAQ in "no_test" or "network" mode so that the devices can be accessed for troubleshooting or configuration purposes.

The Faucet SDN projects has an up-to-date list of tested physical switches from different vendors that can be useful to select a suitable product.

Physical network switches

The following OpenFlow network switches have been tested:

• Northbound Networks Zodiac FX
• Allied Telesis x230
• Cisco-9300
