Bug: Automatic Folder Refresh & Preview Pane Issues #18339

@HELLKain

Description

@HELLKain

Description

Currently, when exporting or updating files from external applications such as Photoshop or Illustrator into an already open folder, the Files app does not automatically refresh the folder view. This requires manual intervention (pressing F5 or navigating away and back) to see the updated files. In comparison, the legacy Windows File Explorer automatically reflected such changes.
Request: Please consider implementing automatic folder monitoring that refreshes the view in real-time whenever files are added, modified, or replaced within an open folder.

Thank you for your time and for developing a great modern file management experience. I hope these suggestions can be considered for a future update.

Steps To Reproduce

Open the Files app.
Navigate to a folder where you frequently export or update files from external applications (e.g., Photoshop or Illustrator).
Export or save a file into this folder, overwriting an existing file with the same name.
Observe that the new/updated file does not appear automatically in the folder view. Manual refresh (F5) is required to see it.
