Construct Discontinuous tangential P1 on manifolds

I would like to construct discontinuous piecewise P1 on a manifold. Is the following correct?

mesh = IcosahedralSphereMesh(radius=1.0, refinement_level=3)
x = SpatialCoordinate(mesh)
mesh.init_cell_orientations(x)
base_element = FiniteElement("BDM", mesh.ufl_cell(), 1) #create BDM in each triangle. This coincides with P1
tangential_dg_element = BrokenElement(base_element) #Make them fully discontinuous
W = FunctionSpace(mesh, tangential_dg_element) # Tangential discontinuous P1
