Create an app monetisation policy

So that submitters cannot essentially mislead during review by providing free/free trial and as soon as it is merged switch to charging exorbitant amounts.

Essentially it regresses every user's experience and lies to us about the state of the app.

And it has the possibility of making the store full of micro-transactions apps like play store etc.

There are probably more cases to consider.

In general I don't want to block monetisation in future updates so I think it should be along the lines:

Monetisation should be upfront and clearly stated or visible during review.

The benefits cannot be changed immediately upon acceptance in a way that would have blocked
the submission or changed the reviewers' opinion about it during the review phase or would
severely regress the users' experience by locking them out of features it previously had.

The reviewers should be able to test the full functionality of the application during review.

The important part is not regressing in a way that would have changed our opinion during review.

That probably also needs to be considered, when an app goes from community maintained to official. Probably as part of the handover.

What do you mean? All new policies are valid for the lifetime of the app as written on the top of the section.

Note to self. policy needs to cover predatory pricing too.

A community maintainer submitting an app, might not be aware of later plans of monetization/rugpull upstream has. So something the community maintainer declared on initial review might not hold up, when it's handed over to upstream - was my thinking.
