Edge Crashes out after laptop rebuild + reinstall

Describe the Bug

With Floccus enabled, I start the browser. Generally after a few seconds, the browser just closes.
Restarting it'll tell me it closed "unexpectedly". I found disabling Floccus stops the crash.
I rebuilt my PC yesterday - so this is a fresh windows + edge install.

I've tried uninstalling the extension, remove all bookmarks, setup as download-only, and that crashes too.

Expected Behavior

Sync and not crash

To Reproduce

• Setup floccus
• First sync - crashes

after that:

• Start Edge.. wait a few seconds

It helps when you stick around to answer follow up questions I may have, as very few bugs can be fixed directly from the first bug report, without any interaction. If information is missing in your bug report and the issue cannot be solved without it, I will have to close the issue after a while. Note also that GitHub in general is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can collaborate to make this software better. For everyone. Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge and experience. I managed to click fast enough to get into the extension, and disable auto-sync.
if I try to manually force a download, it crashes.
I tried to clear the cache.. it crashes on next sync.

Got the redacted logs... but its an empty file.

I'm going to try and clear Edge favs file

okay - I think I self-solved though I don't know what the real cause was.

I closed Edge and deleted this file:

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Bookmarks

then I started edge and triggered a download sync. No crash.
After that, I've put sync back on to normal.
