Describe the Bug

I was using floccus (With Firefox browser) for a long time, but it stopped to work 2 weeks ago or so.
Floccus gave me this error NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource. I deleted my profile and want to create a new one, but it gives me the same error.

WebDav is reachable from PC

Authentication error: no credential provided

At the same time, Android version work fine with the same config.

Expected Behavior

Floccus should connect with WebDav server without issues.

Same here. The addon works fine on the pc version of firefox, but when using the addon in firefox/waterfox I got the same error message under the textbox WebDAV-URL.
My package logger doesn't even show that the addon tried to establish a connection.

Small update. I tried to use another PC with similar configuration and everything works fine. So it's not a network on server issues. Next to it synchronisation from Android works good.
Any thoughts, how can I dig further?

I installed the addon on a "real" firefox (not waterfox). When I searched for floccus, it wasn't found. I had to select the desktop version, because the Android version didn't list it.
Then I tested the connection, but I got the error message again. I tried http instead https, and this selection was accepted without an error.
But the next problem came up: Because it's Android, I cannot choose a local sync directory.

I'm not sure I follow. You're using Firefox on mobile with the addon? Or what non-pc version of firefox are you using?

The high port number could be a problem, sometimes browsers don't like that.

If you're a bit familiar with web development (or adventurous) you can try the following, to debug the webDAV requests:

• Go to about:debugging
• go to "This firefox"
• click on Inspect button next to floccus entry
• go to the network tab in the inspector
• trigger a sync by clicking on sync now for the floccus profile of your choice.
• check the failing network requests

I'm using Firefox and Waterfox on my Android phone. There the error occurs.
I also use Firefox on my pc and there everything works fine.

Aha! That makes sense. Floccus is not supported by Firefox on Android, last I checked. There is an open issue about that here #1485 Or are you saying it used to work for you on Firefox for Android?! That would be amazing.
