Hi! I'm Franz Diaz

My work tends to sit at the lower layers of the stack: distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure tooling. Most of what I have built started as a question about how something works, like one of my magnum opus project; Zensearch, a search engine I built in Go and Node.js, came out of wanting to understand information retrieval from the ground up.
