In the settings you can change the default playback speed. But it's not very finely tunable. It goes straight from 1.0 to 1.25.
it would make more sense to have it in 0.1 steps.
Proposal
I think it would make much more sense to give a final control in this setting the jump from 1.0 to 1.25 is too big. I mean nobody will ever choose your 3x playback speed but it's much more likely somebody would like to choose 1.1
