📋 F0.2 Architecture Fixed — Small CNN Confirmed

Architecture (Verified):

• Model: Small CNN (NOT MLP)
  • Conv(3→16) → ReLU → MaxPool(2×2) → Flatten (32×6) → FC(128)
  • Total parameters: ~307K
  • First conv: 3→16, 32 filters
  • Pooling: 2×2, stride 1
  • Classifier: 128 outputs → 10 classes
  • Output layer: 10 classes (softmax + argmax)

This is the actual architecture used in bench_cifar10.zig — NOT same 784x128x10 MLP I erroneously claimed.

✅ F0.2 plan FIXED

The implementation plan has been corrected with proper CIFAR-10 architecture:

Fixed Architecture

Model: Small CNN — Conv(3→16)→ReLU→Pool → Conv(16→32)→ReLU→Pool → FC(1152→128) → FC(128→10)

Corrections Made

• Input: CIFAR-10 = 32×32×3 = 3072 features (NOT 784×1 as MNIST)
• Architecture: Small CNN with 2 conv layers + pooling + FC head (NOT same MLP as F0.1)
• Expected accuracy: ~70-75% (small CNN without augmentation)

Why This Matters

F0.2 must prove GF16 parity on a different architecture (convolutions), not repeat MNIST with different pixels. Using the same MLP would defeat the scientific purpose.
