Hierarchy.tidy delivers somtimes a less aesthetic layout

Hierarchy.tidy computes for some trees a less aesthetic layout, where child nodes are not evenly spaced.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

Just to understand, what you're after is roughly something like this?

The spacing on second level is perfect. However, on the third level, the single child node in the middle should be directly below the parent node.

I had the layout in van der Ploeg in mind, just with one child instead of a large node, see Figure 6d
