• whisper-opensesame - Private repository. voice to text transcription powered by openai's whisper
• As of June of 2026, runs on an older apple computer that is atleast 12 years old and without a GPU
• There are a few other private repos (not on the Readme), where a very preliminary set of code exists for developing knowledge graphs
• For now, the standard voice to text transcription is deployed
• Background: vs code speech extension stopped working on linux. I created an issue for it here and the decision was that there was no plan to revive this functionality for linux in the future (see the link). I was looking for a solution that could:
  • process the audio locally
  • did not require a GPU
  • ideally was free (within reason) and without my data being trained for purposes I did not even have the ability to consent to
  • I would not have to wait 5 to 15 minutes for the transcription to complete every single time
  • something that could be deployed for shorter bursts. 1 to 4 minute duration audio transcriptions
  • and so I requested the enablement of this tool and have been chipping away at it

• ASI/Awakened Imagination Group - helping enable a world of abundance with no harm (or unintended consequences at that).
