Problem Statement

There has been a long-standing challenge with source map generation and upload during the Vercel build process.

The customer proposes leveraging Vercel Checks to move this process post-deployment, when the build has succeeded and the application is already available on the Vercel Platform.

The only problem is that there is no access to build artifacts, but maybe Vercel Team will help with that? :D

So this is about uploading build-time generated source maps to Sentry within a Vercel Check integration?

Interesting idea but no access to build artifacts makes it hard. Also, the source maps are generated and uploaded to Sentry during build-time, as most people probably don't want to add their client-side source maps to their build.

When needed, Sentry only enables client source map generation during build time and deletes the source maps after they were uploaded to Sentry. In this case, not all source maps would be available at Vercel Checks runtime.
