Tool requires dotnet v8 while v10 is installed

Hello,
Running on Fedora 44 Atomic COSMIC, I've installed dotnet SDK v10 per the instructions, but receiving the following error:

You must install or update .NET to run this application.

App: /var/home/user/.dotnet/tools/git-credential-manager
Architecture: x64
Framework: 'Microsoft.NETCore.App', version '8.0.23' (x64)
.NET location: /usr/lib64/dotnet

@ayashjorden the NuGet package was updated to v2.8.0 on 2026-05-11T11:57:32.
So chances are high, you tried with the older v2.7.0, which was not compiled for .Net 10.

Has this been resolved by an update or does the issue persist?
