Alyx: The All-in-One Web3 Companion Extension

Hi Gitcoin Grants team,

I’m building Alyx, an open-source crypto productivity stack composed of a Chrome New Tab dashboard and a Go backend API.
The product is already functional and focused on practical daily workflows for users tracking markets and opportunities.

What is already live in the project:

• Chrome extension replacing the new tab with an on-chain dashboard UX
• Authenticated backend API for user data and sessions
• User features: wallets management, watchlist, jobs listing/posting, and profile endpoints
• Telegram integration (link/unlink + webhook flow)
• BTC price alerts via Telegram with a background worker fetching market prices and triggering notifications on above/below thresholds

Why we are applying for Gitcoin funding:

We want to turn Alyx from a strong MVP into a reliable public good for crypto users and contributors, with a clear focus on:

• Reliability: hardening alert delivery, reducing false positives/duplicates, and improving observability
• Feature depth: extending alerts beyond single-asset/single-rule limitations and improving user control in extension settings
• Open-source maturity: tests, documentation, contributor onboarding, and issue-driven roadmap transparency

How funds will be used (next 3–6 months):

• Backend quality and monitoring improvements
• Product expansion of alerting + automation workflows
• Developer documentation and contributor experience
• Security and maintenance work required for sustainable OSS operations
• Alyx is built in the open, and Gitcoin support would directly accelerate shipping useful, user-facing functionality while improving long-term maintainability for the community.
