New mechanism: Funding decided by AI #448

Description

@vporton

AI Internet-Meritocracy app distributes funding accordingly AI decisions: The app asks AI, what portion of the global GDP a given person (securely identified by online accounts) is worth, and gives them the proportional share of the donations. It is intended to make funding fair unlike direct grants or quadratic funding that is critiqued by many people.

The donations can be distributed weekly, so creating continuous streams of income. Grant writing is not necessary.

This:

  • Gives stable open source salaries.
  • Gives research funding in particular to non-PhDs.
  • Using a prompt to reward promoting under-represented science and software, solves the scientific publication crisis (when good works receive little publicity or no review).
  • Removes the burden of grant writing.

With current AI technologies, it is required human oversee, because LLMs cannot prevent prompt injection due to that LLMs can judge themselves due to too much similarity of a few available mainstream LLMs. if the judge is the same as the "victim", the prompt injection may pass through, even if re-checked again by a "judge".

So, users can be (un)banner by voting of other users, to exclude prompt injection and severe plagiarism by banning.
