VScode chat can see Skills, copilot-cli can't in same repo

having an issue in getting Copilot-cli to show me its skills, but it works in Vscode chat

Steps to reproduce the behavior

/skills reload
/skills list

Expected behavior

should show the same skill as i can see in vscode skills

it looks like it can't see the difference between the Skills the app uses for CV analyze (the app) and the skills that the agent/Cli should use

I'm seeing the same issue, reported here: #1080

This has been fixed across several releases. v0.0.399 resolved a Windows-specific bug where skills were silently dropped, v0.0.401 added support for the .agents/skills/ directory, and v1.0.11 aligned the CLI's skill discovery paths with VS Code -- including ~/.agents/skills/ and monorepo traversal. Updating to the latest version should resolve the discrepancy. If you're still seeing this after updating, please feel free to reopen this issue.
