Cannot use MCP servers nor any model

Describe the bug

When I start Copilot CLI I have now erro messages:
! Third-party MCP servers are disabled by your organization's Copilot policy. Only built-in servers are available.

● Environment loaded: 3 custom instructions, 8 skills, 1 agent

✗ Failed to load models: access denied by Copilot policy. (Request ID: F4F1:2FC301:2563100:2A51221:69B13740)

Copilot CLI is enabled in my organization (and was working before)
In VSCode I can use both MCPserver and premium models andI'm logged in in the same account

I'm seeing a very similar thing after putting in a prompt.

✗ No model available. Check policy enablement under GitHub Settings > Copilot

EDIT: I found out I was running a very old build. After updating to the latest release it started working again.

Running into this as well. When I go to copilot settings, I can see that mcp usage is allowed.

2 weeks and 8 releases later MCP are still not working. Is anybody at all looking at those issues? @andyfeller sorry for tagging you, but you resolved it previous time.

As a workaround I downgraded & disabled auto update. This feels like a really critical bug. MCPs are unusable in any enterprise account pointing to Copilot CLI it seems...

Hi folks 👋 Can you do two things: 1. update your cli to the latest version and 2. logout from your account and log in again. If it doesn't fix your issue please let us know.
