me too, encountered the same error when trying to use claude-4.6-sonnet.
Execution failed: Error: Failed to get response from the AI model; retried 5 times (total retry wait time: 92.96832861378573 seconds) (Request-ID ***) Last error: CAPIError: 500 "An internal server error occurred."

Same for me and it slows down a lot the agent work

Same here. This error always happens when I ask the Copilot CLI to handle complex planning tasks or write comprehensive reports on optimization or benchmark analyses. It seems like fixing this might not be a top priority for the team right now, given the number of similar open issues.

However, I've found a solid workaround: adjusting the prompt to ask Copilot to generate the plan in batches or step-by-step significantly reduces the frequency of these errors. At least, this approach has been working well for me until there's an official fix.
