Escape whilst in / commands menu causes operation to abort

Describe the bug

I was trying to get out of the / commands menu, and my instincts weren't to backspace, but to press escape. Whoops!
Maybe there's a small UX improvement to make here? Or am I too much of a terminal newbie?

Steps to reproduce the behavior

run an agent command
type /
navigate the menu
press escape

Expected behavior

at least a warning
