Result mapping:

om  =  tom

The corrected script produces the expected mapping:

tom  =  tom

I am migrating a bunch of our Subversion repositories and noticed that one of the authors with a user name starting from 't' losing it. I am executing commands from a terminal on Mac, but if I put this command svn log -q | grep -e '^r' | awk 'BEGIN { FS = "|" } ; { print $2" = "$2 }' | sed 's/^[ \t]*//' | sort | uniq > authors.txt in a script it exhibits the same bug. I was able to track down the issue to sed 's/^[ \t]*//'.
