Additional Information

(@jkcso writing now) Bartosz contributed the third season of the Secure Code Game that is teaching developers and students how to safely build LLM-based applications. There is a dedicated blog post about this here. We can both be part on the show or just him on the day.

I believe there is a lot of geeky information that the audience will love to hear on the engineering and design decisions that had to be made to turn a UI-first project such as https://hackmerlin.io/ into a backend-first game which is Season 3 of the Secure Code Game. We experimented with custom AI models and had interesting learnings before switching to GitHub Models. The audience will gain a lot of information on the defences they need to equip their LLM wrappers and get inspired from the creator of the last season.

The agenda of that Friday can be:

  • Bartosz tell us about yourself
  • Tell us more about your passion for gamification and open source (keep it general up to this point)
  • Follow up question in case hackmerlin wasn't mentioned and how did he come up with the idea, how many players, impact, etc
  • Opportunity here to speak in general about cyber security and/or security of open source.
  • Tell us more about your partnership with the Security Lab, how did you come across?
  • Were there any interesting engineering or decision decisions that had to be made for the third season to come to life?
  • Demo and show us all
